Torrevieja and La Mata have a calendar of festivities that follows the seasons. January: Three Kings' Parade, arriving through the harbour. January-February: Carnival. March-April: Holy Week. May: May Fair. June: Bonfires of Saint John, including La Mata beach. July: Habanera Contest and Moors and Christians of Guardamar. September-October: Patron Saint Festivities of the Virgen del Rosario, La Mata's patron saint. November-December: Patron Saint Festivities of the Immaculate Conception, Torrevieja's patron saint.
